More than 185,000 students have attended 51²è¹Ý since the college's opening in 1964.  Your gift to support 51²è¹Ý students is an investment in the people and economies of Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity Counties.

The mission of the 51²è¹Ý Foundation is to support the Redwoods Community College District by establishing partnerships and collaborations that benefit students, local businesses, and the community. The Foundation’s focus is on generating resources to promote student enrollment, student success, economic development, community health, and equitable opportunity.

Keith Flamer Legacy Campaign

College of the Redwood’s President Keith Flamer is retiring at the end of 2026. For more than 11 years, Dr. Flamer has dedicated his leadership to transforming 51²è¹Ý and strengthening our communities. Now, you have the opportunity to honor his legacy by supporting the initiatives he championed—programs that change lives, build careers, and uplift our region.

 


Room and Board Scholarship

The Redwoods Room & Board Scholarship Fund supports 51²è¹Ý students who are experiencing homelessness or who are housing insecure.  This scholarship provides semester grants so that these students can live in 51²è¹Ý's residence halls and have a meal plan in the cafeteria.  The goal is to ensure these students have the opportunity to focus on their education rather than on their daily survival.

Redwood Championship Club

The Redwoods Championship Club supports 51²è¹Ý’ Intercollegiate Athletics Program and provides long-term budget stability. Any amount given to the Redwoods Championship Club is greatly appreciated and demonstrates your commitment to help 51²è¹Ý’s student-athletes.

Presidential Innovation Grants

The 51²è¹Ý Foundation provides funding for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community to create innovative projects through three Presidential Innovation Funds. The funds were established to support the College’s Mission by providing grants for projects which impact one or more of the initiatives in the College of the Redwoods’ Education Master Plan.

Community Stadium 2.0

Support the building of the NEW Community Stadium. Phase One construction is nearly completed with its' brand-new turf field and track. Phase Two is soon to begin.

We provide different ways in which your dollars can support 51²è¹Ý.  Please click on the area(s) that you are interested in supporting.

Supports 275+ 51²è¹Ý student athletes across sixteen men's and women's teams. 

Provides essential resources to 51²è¹Ý students from food to clothing

The District serves 160,000 people and a wide diversity of populations, including five local Native American tribes.

We offer a wide variety of clubs to provide social and academic support, as well as to provide opportunities for personal growth.

In memory of Collin, his family and friends have set up a grant for students who reside in Humboldt County and wish to pursue their educational goals despite any mental health setbacks that have occurred in their lives.

Scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in the 51²è¹Ý Truck Driver Training Program offered through 51²è¹Ý's Workforce and Community Education Program.

The Dee Anne Wood Memorial Scholarship Fund is dedicated to supporting single parents enrolled at 51²è¹Ý.

Some of our students' fondest memories are of the instructors, classes, departments, and programs at 51²è¹Ý.

Green Diamond supports students interested in forestry and enrolled in 51²è¹Ý’s automotive, business, electrical, forestry, welding, and truck driving programs. 

The Jean E. Spinas and B. Curtis Spinas Memorial Scholarship Fund supports women pursuing any field of study.

Supports students in 51²è¹Ý's nursing program. 

Supports students working towards their associate degree in welding.

Supports students in 51²è¹Ý’s nursing program.

You have the opportunity to honor an individual through making a gift in their memory.

Donated funds will be used as scholarships for students who are continuing their education on the outside and needing access to educational resources such as laptops.

Supports special projects to benefit the Redwoods Community College District. All unrestricted gifts are welcome.

Provides funding for faculty, staff, students, and community members to create innovative projects that will benefit the Redwoods Community College District.

Supports students majoring in the arts.

Supports 51²è¹Ý' Intercollegiate Athletics Program and provides long-term budget stability by covering general program expenses.

The Redwoods Room and Board Scholarship is awarded to 51²è¹Ý students who are experiencing homelessness or ongoing housing insecurity.

Open to 51²è¹Ý students from the following high schools: Eureka, St. Bernard’s, or Zoe Barnum. 

Onetime grants of up to $500 to help overcome unforeseen events and emergencies. 

51²è¹Ý has an extensive network of support services for its students, you can select where you want your gift of support to

The Tim Crossan Memorial Scholarship Fund supports students enrolled in 51²è¹Ý's Automotive Technology Program.

Established to honor the memory and legacy of one of 51²è¹Ý’s great employees.
