Grant Development at 51²è¹Ý
The pursuit of external grant funding that advances the College’s Mission, supports Vision 2030, and aligns with the Strategic and Education Master Plans is encouraged . Successful grant development strengthens programs, services, and facilities that benefit our students and community.
To ensure alignment and adequate institutional support, all employees must complete and submit a Preliminary Grant Assessment Form before beginning any grant application. This process ensures that:
- Proposed grants directly support 51²è¹Ý’s mission, goals, and plans.
- Adequate resources are available to meet project activities, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Efforts are coordinated across divisions, departments, and programs.
- Grant proposals must be reviewed and approved by the President’s Cabinet prior to submission.

Next Steps:
- This form should be fully filled out and sent to your supervisor and senior administrator for review and signature of support.
- Completed forms should be submitted via email to grant-support@redwoods.edu
- The Grants team will review proposals for completeness and route to Cabinet for their imput.
- Upon review of Cabinet, the Grants teams will follow up on next steps.
- Approval from President's Cabinet is needed prior to applying for any grant.
