The TRIO Student Support Services Program ("TRIO") at 51²è¹Ý, Del Norte, welcomes all new and continuing students.
Program Eligibility / How to Apply
All services are free of charge to eligible participants. This includes all Day and Overnight trips and accommodations to tour 4-year universities.
TRIO History
TRIO has been at 51²è¹Ý, Del Norte since 1986 but the origins of the program date back to President Lyndon B. Johnson’s War on Poverty. TRIO Student Support Services was one of the 3 original programs established as a result of The Educational Opportunity Act of 1964. The other two original programs are Upward Bound and Talent Search. TRIO programs are dependent on federal funding and exist to support greater access to educational opportunity for under-represented populations.
